Ella Faye

Howdy!

Just a quick post today to showcase a card I made for the Make it Crafty April facebook challenge; birthdays.

I have coloured the gorgeous Ella Faye digi stamp with Copics on X-Press It cardstock (of course!), and matted it onto Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime papers, and some kraft cardstock. Finished off with some rhinestones and alphas for the sentiment.

Tilda with little pocket

I'm back with a birthday card for my other little April birthday girl. This little chicken turns 4 next Tuesday, and she is just beside herself with excitement!

Papers are My Minds Eye, Tilda is coloured with Copics on X-Press It cardstock. Dies used are Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Large Classic Ovals, Magnolia Doohickey Lovely Fence. The flowers were a RAK gift from a crafty friend, and I have finished off with some pearls, lemon lace and Glitz Teeny Alphas for the sentiment.

Art Deco Lady

I am so excited about this project! I made this set for my SIL's birthday. It took AGES to make but I am really happy with how it turned out!

**Please excuse the picture-heavy post! It was a hard set to photograph as well, so I do apologise for the poor quality in the final photo.

First up we have this little gift bag. I am in LOVE with this tutorial! It's a great way to use up papers, and is so easy to make! You can find the video for it HERE

The stamp I have used is Art Deco lady with fan by Crafts and Me, coloured monochromatically using Copic markers and X-Press It cardstock.

I'm fairly sure the papers for the bag were Echo Park. I have used a Martha Stewart edge punch to create the butterfly edging. Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers Butterfly and Tattered Florals dies, Magnolia Doohickey Tilda Lace, Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Classic Large Ovals dies, and a Cheery Lynn doily die. I've used pink grosgrain ribbon and basic twill ribbon. I've also used liquid pearls in the butterflies, and some fran-tage powder. I have also lightly distressed the edge around the image, using my Tim Holtz distressing tool, and finished off with a Tim Holtz ticket for the sentiment.

Phew! Did you follow all that?!

Right! Onto the card now:

Cardstock is Bazzill, papers are Kaisercraft, all edges have been lightly distressed using my Tim Holtz Distressing tool, again, Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Large Classic Ovals have been used. Again, Copic markers and X-Press It cardstock are used to colour the image. Basic pearls are in the corners. The sentiment is a newbie from Stampin'  Up! and the punch is also Stampin'  Up!

Little Darling

I'm back with another post! Woop! It's so nice to be crafting and blogging again, I tell you! So you might remember from my previous post that my baby girl turned 1 recently (Easter Saturday actually!). My last project was the birthday invitation for her party, which sadly had to be cancelled due to an epic bout of gastro that descended upon the house.

Thankfully we are now on the mend, however her birthday was a much quieter affair than I had planned. I suppose it isn't a bad thing, considering the first birthday is more for the parent than the child :)

Anyway, I digress! Here is the card I made using a Little Darlings image, for my own little darling

I have used Stampin'  Up! cardstock and ink around the edges, Wisteria Wonder

Papers are Graphic 45 *(how gorgeous are they?!)

Little Wendy with Cupcake is coloured using Copic markers and X-Press It cardstock

The sentiment, punch, and bling are all Stampin'  Up! as well!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge:

Once upon a springtime

Oh my gosh, it feels like forever since I blogged! Life has been crazy here with so many things going on; we moved, our second daughter started preschool, just to name a few :) Thankfully, we have settled into a routine, and now I'm back crafting and blogging!

Today's card is for the a challenge over at my old stomping ground, Creative Card Crew. The challenge this fortnight is 'Spring' - the direct link is at the bottom of this post. We are currently in Autumn in Australia, but these papers are really "Spring-y", as evidenced by the name, lol.

Here is my project, birthday party invitations for a joint birthday party for two of my daughters (both April babies)

The papers I have used are Graphic 45 - Once upon a springtime. These papers were one of the first paper pads I ever bought, and I have used it very sparingly, lol. All my girls love fairies, so these papers were the perfect choice for the invites, and somehow I have managed to spread the theme across the board, so we are now having a fairy party.

The stamps I have used are Magnolia - You are invited, and Stampin'  Up! Nature Walk and Hip Notes.

The inks I have used are all Stampin'  Up!; Early Espresso, Crisp Cantaloupe, Old Olive.

I have also used a 1" circle punch, Stampin'  Up! Decorative Label punch, Stampin'  Up! Banner Framelits die, and Stampin'  Up! Early Espresso taffeta ribbon. I adhered the ribbon to the insert with my trusty old stapler, as I love the rustic finish it gives!
