Creative Card Crew: Challenge #97

Hi and welcome back to another fabulous challenge at Creative Card Crew! Our challenge this fortnight is 'masculine', and we are sponsored by Eureka Stamps, who are offering a fabulous prize of 3 digi images to a lucky winner.

Here is my card, using 'Being a father'.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Brushed Corduroy" around the edges, and the DSP is THE LAST SHEET of my Kaisercraft Christmas pad. I love how versatile that pad is/was! It will be sadly missed.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew - Fall

Welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew. Our challenge this fortnight is Fall. Here in Australia, it is the complete opposite of Fall - YAY FOR WINTER BEING OVER!

Here are my cards for the challenge

This was one of those stamp sets that I didn't want until it retired, which was frustrating, but I got it at a very reasonable price, so yay! It's the first time I have played with it, and I couldn't decide which of the cards I wanted to post for the challenge, so I thought I would just upload both. Both cards use all the same materials:

Stamps: SU French Foliage, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink: SU Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: SU Calypso Coral, Whisper White

The only difference is I inked over the white space on the left card, then spritzed some water. It really softened the inks.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week.

Craty Boots Challenges - Monochrome

Hi, and welcome to a post for Crafty Boots Challenges! Our theme for this fortnight is monochrome. I am a huge fan of monochromatic cards; they look so simple, yet fabulous!

Here is my card for the challenge

I have used Darkroom Door's Old Truck. I have used the Triple Time Stamping technique (check out YouTube for some fantastic tutorials), inked with Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy. The card stock is Stampin'  Up! Baked Brown Sugar (sadly, I am down to my last few sheets :( boo). The sentiment is from Stampin'  Up! Teeny Tiny Sentiments. The DSP used is Kaisercraft 25 Days of Christmas. It's the last sheet from that pad, which is a shame, as it was such a versatile pad; not just useful at Christmas.

Funny story about this card, I originally had planned to give it to my dad for Father's Day, but my husband kept dropping "subtle hints" all week about how much he loved the card, and it was his favourite stamp, etc., so poor dad got Plan B, and hubster got this one.

Have a great week! I will be back with another card later today :)
