Creative Card Crew - Shabby Chic

Welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew! This fortnights challenge is Shabby Chic. We have two fab sponsors

Prise: Surprise!

Prize: $12 Gift Card

Here is my project, using (again - I did say it was my favourite image! lol)  Pearls in my hair

She is coloured with Copics, and all edges have been distressed with my TH distressing tool and DI Antique Linen. Cardstock is Baked Brown Sugar and Blushing Bride. The lace was a gift from my lovely Secret Santa over at Make It Crafty for our Christmas swap last year. Pearls are Stampin'  Up! The flowers are Petite Petals stamped with Blushing Bride. The sentiment is from Stampin'  Up! Tea Shoppe and Modern Label punch. The papers are Prima, fairybelle collection. They are gorgeous! I have had the pad for a few years now, but have always thought it was "too pretty" to use, but I opened it, and lightning didn't strike ;) lol

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge

Ribbon Girl - Colour challenge; PINK

I can't wait to see your Shabby Chic creations! Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Boots Challenges - Out with the old and in with the new; mid-challenge reminder

Yay! I made it back in time for a mid-challenge reminder! I have a few weeks left before I go back to university, so I am trying to squeeze in as much crafting as possible.

I have decided to have a little break from my usual colours, and play with Calypso Coral. It was a Stampin'  Up! In colour a few years ago, and has since made it to the permanent colour collection. The flower is stamped using Cottage Garden, and it was one of the first stamp sets I purchased as a Stampin'  Up! demo. So that's my 'old' :) The 'new' on my card refers to the sentiment which is from a diecut that I have sponged around to create a negative space. It is part of a set available in the new Occasions catalogue. My card also features a film strip die cut, from the current annual catalogue "On Film" framelits. The background within the film strip was created using my brayer and Kaleidoscope ink palette "Autumn Leaves" inked onto glossy card.

If you haven't already done so, we would love you to play along! Even if you have, I hope we have inspired you to submit more entries!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week! :)

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 78 For a child

Hi and welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew! This fortnight we want to see your child-inspired projects.

We have two fab sponsors for this challenge

Prize: 3 images

Here is my project for the challenge

I have used the beautiful Sweet Sleep Girl image from Imagine That. It is an entire sheet that contains both coloured and uncoloured images, as well as sentiments. The baby carriage is a tutorial that I found in a back issue of Magnolia Ink, and I have been dying to make it! It doesn't look anywhere near as amazing as Camilla's did, but I'm still really happy with how it turned out.

All the other goodies featured here are Stampin Up except for the image and sentiment (both Imagine That), and the hood on the carriage is cut using the Doohickey Tilda Lace die, oh, and all edges have been inked using Distress Ink Old Paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to check out your amazing creations :)
